I would have preferred using my laptop on a Saturday over having new AI features forced on me.

I can still be grateful for layer opacity in Paint.

Microsoft Paint received a significant update in the year 2025 AD. This feature is something that almost every image editor on earth has been allowing for decades.

This feature was so long in coming that Microsoft was right to celebrate it finally being here.

VR is also a wonderful way to experience sunshine when the real world is gray and cloudy. Yes, please.

Anyway, I've never been motion sick. Despite being a fan of trashy horror films, I don't enjoy horror games. I'll be in a meditation app, playing mini golf, or enjoying a virtual concert.

I kind of even enjoy a lot of what Meta is trying to do with their Horizons app. The concerts can be a lot of fun. They stumble but they do try.

I miss AltSpace. It drew a lot more people in my age range. Microsoft's decision to "sunset" that service feels like another reason to switch to Linux.

I actually cried happy tears during my first experience in modern VR. A friend trying the same "Arctic Journey" had to take the glasses off. I found it to be profoundly calming and liberating.

Most of those crossed my mind, but there is a vibe to the three I chose.

Black Sunshine sets a very different mood than Dragula, for instance.

Less silly, more driving fast until either you or the car gives out. Whichever goes first, the ride was worth it. That kind of vibe.
