I completely agree that “phonology vs motor” is a false dichotomy and that implementation is the hard part. Grateful to be in conversation on this. I’m excited about where the @misltoessd project could take this (especially with the big-data angle)

Hi Joanne thank you for this thoughtful reflection. I really value your work and your support. If anything, being cited “on both sides” is a sign of how integrative your contributions are: your instrumental work on covert contrasts is exactly the kind of bridge our field needs.
