Right. That’s Nancy’s stamp on this team. A natural evolution of what GGG did. Gregg had us playing as something greater than the sum of our parts. I don’t rate Vanny because his best teams (2017 TFC in particular) were just the sum of their parts. Thats the opposite of who we’ve always been

IMO the culture we’ve built goes back at least to Berhalter. His style of “disorganize the opponent with the ball” has carried through to Nancy. Even Porter tried to continue that style (until he didn’t). It can evolve, but we need to continue that build on that legacy.

Good point. We threw pink slips at Andrulis too. In hindsight, ownership was more to blame than anyone in those eras. Mais would have resources those guys could only dream of. Also, I’d be willing to cut more slack to Mais than Curtain or Vanny or some other MLS retread.
