this smooth transition to/from the exploded onion dice view took a lot of time and tinkering, but it came out soooo satisfying

(don't bother adding horizontal cuts when dicing your onion, it's bad for uniformity)

<meter> takes optional low/high/optimum attributes that help to automatically color code the bar 🙂

I’m looking for a 6 string with a tremolo for my next guitar. maybe an Abasi Larada. the 6 string version isn’t multiscale, but the 7 is (27.5-25.5”) and very tempting

at a similar price point to a Strandberg. will have to check out Kiesel too though!

this black-headed grosbeak slammed into my window this morning. he sat dazed and blinking in one of my outdoor plants for a good 15 minutes. was about to bring him to wildlife rehab when he just perked up and flew away 😌

it’s not always easy to put into words but it’s so mindblowing and beautiful that I got this as my first tattoo
forearm tattoo of the harmonic series. it consists of 8 sine waves representing a fundamental frequency and its first 7 harmonics. the latter’s frequencies are 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4th, and so on until reaching 1/8 of the fundamental frequency. the harmonic waves’ amplitudes also gradually decrease

Sankey diagram of Andrew's job search stats. I applied to 173 jobs (outbound), and 124 jobs reached out to me (inbound). Most outbound prospects were ghosted, a total of 191 (some after phone screen). 19 outbound prospects led to phone screens, for a total of 143 phone screens. Over half of phone screens led to ghosting, and a significant chunk of phone screens led to rejections. About one third of outbound prospects got rejected without an interview. There were 100 rejections total. 15 technical interviews or takehome projects took place after phone screens. 6 of those led onsite/team interviews. In the end, 4 prospects were undecided, and I received one contract offer and one full-time offer.

sinigang roast chicken. it could taste more like sinigang BUT I love the technique of letting the chicken juices flow onto the roast potatoes
cast iron pan holding roasted chicken thighs on a bed of roast potatoes + onions. the chicken skin is crispy with a brown dry rub seasoning, and a shallow pool of brown gravy has collected all around the potatoes and onions
