Pickled red onions and pickled jalepeños are staple foods for me. I eat a jar of each a week. They taste good in nearly everything. Currently making an aioli for my onion bajis.

The Windy app for phones has a very good hurricane tracker. Been watching Hurricane Melissa on the windy app and it's predicted path to come to Ireland and the UK in about a week. Thinking most about Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas area though! Hope everyone can stay as safe as possible there

It starts with a nuanced underatanding the cultural shame/evil connected with the American brand will never go away, wash off or not be a part of EVERY American's identity for many many generations. I don't see much of that understanding at all yet which means there is much further to fall still.

Apply to every fascist appeaser in the world: "I'm here in the Netherlands and all I can tell you that 80 yrs after WW2, over here ppl still remember which newspapers collaborated with the Nazi occupiers of our country, so Disney better brace themselves."

I have followed Woodlands.co.uk for awhile but I really dislike their new Legacy Forestry programme which sells crucial habitat large woodlands to people who simply want a tax break. Shameless, when the UK's woodlands are already in a rough state.

Super dislike this heat. My greenhouse fan got too hot and died, garden hose melted and exploded. House is like a brick oven that doesnt cool down at night. So glad I didn't cut down one of the trees I was debating to remove near the house. The shade is vital. Glad we put in roof vents. #Scotland
