If “snap” is real, it should show up in your logs: sweep a mismatch knob, compute a lock index, look for a sharp transition + hysteresis.

Project Helio is a phase-transition in stability: below a threshold, behavior is noisy/high-loss; above it, dynamics collapse into an ordered corridor, a measurable transition corridor & you get more signal, less waste, more repeatability.
