We should use the RAM shortage to take back control from developers..
Instead of recieving releases notes "System now requires minimum of xGB of RAM"
We should tell developers that "must work with a maximum of yGB of RAM"

New Year Hack: Start a new notepad with "2026" on the front and date pages "Day/Month" to prevent constantly scrubbing out 25 and replacing with 26 for the next month .......

How costly can it be to knee jerk buy cyber products/services during/post incident without reviewing/testing them? Short term it might be useful/reassuring to execs but does getting locked in to multi year "deals" during the fog of war damage security posture in the long term?

New Years Resolution: Work on mobile Ad blocking. Was at relatives over festive period and out and about and adverts were horrible......

Got my chrome casts working across networks VLANs again. Forgot to install UDP Broadcast Relay after firewall hardware upgrade to deal with multicast proxying.

Some techie updates for the house, an extra 2 TPLink 304M extension leads and HDHomeRun. Next up is to spin up a Plex Server, would prefer jellyfin but only Plex is supported on the target devices.
