Monkey Head Nebula (NGC 2174/2175) is an H II emission nebula in Orion, discovered in 1877. About 6,400 light-years away, its identifiers may refer to the entire nebula, brightest knot, or star cluster. Stellar winds shape its complex forms, composed mainly of hydrogen, glowing in infrared.
