I'm dying, Brian. Remember me as I was, not as I what I will soon become.

In the meantime, if it helps to rant to someone who might be able to relate to your experiences, I'm always happy to listen - I wasn't diagnosed until I was 29, and even with medication I still struggle quite a bit, so I imagine we have some common ground there.

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time with this - even when things go as smoothly as possible, the nature of ADHD makes the process a huge ordeal, and adding extra obstacles and delays along the way just makes the whole thing seem insurmountable.

I hope you can get help soon.

As much as I am jealous of them, I also wish them well. 👀

Unhinged. 👀

I can't access the site for some reason, but I shall try again later!

But dang, the salt was worth it. 👀

Hmm... I suppose he does.

He's *huge* - who makes a snowman too big to fit through a doorway? D:

Jellied eels, anyone? 🤢

But really, the prevalence of take-aways and delivery services is not a uniquely American phenomenon, and it's a little bizarre to assume so. 👀

Then we shall! 😄

We'll do our best. 🫡

I might try to tackle a few here and there, just for myself - I've been meaning to get back into writing for years, and if I manage to put together some kind of map for a setting, I might be able to pull myself back into writing for that setting. Or... something. 😄

They are a lot of fun - I used to draw them like this (albeit, not nearly as well) in my teens for stories I was writing.

It was actually the direction I was originally planning to go when I started getting into map-making for TTRPGs, but I wound up drifting into battle maps instead!

Absolutely vile.

Yeah, it did sour my enjoyment a bit, but it gets so much worse:

I think I was vaguely suspicious Depardieu was a creep, but didn't realize he has an extensive history of allegations. To add to that, Corneau, the director, was posthumously accused of grooming a 16 year old in the 90s. Christ.

Right? Especially given some of the conversations about authenticity. 👀

They could have just shot around it, too - the first shot has Depardieu's character perform with the instrument off-camera, and it's very effective! Just use creative angles and occasional inserts of the performer's hands! D:

Heather and I also watched Amadeus recently, and Tom Hulce apparently spent hours every day for months learning to play the piano in preparation for the role.

I feel like for a film about the importance of music to these musical masters, expecting believable performances is the bare minimum.
November 17, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Even without learning to play the instrument, I wish someone had at least told them the appropriate moment to pretend to trill (not while holding a single note), or where on the frets you place your fingers (adding a 2nd finger to the same string and fret that you're already playing does nothing).
November 17, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Guillaume Depardieu could play the cello, and Anne Brochet apparently learned to play the viola da gamba for her role in the film, so their playing was *significantly* more believable, but this only made the pretense of Marielle and the elder Depardieu's playing even more blatant.

It's been years since I drew a region map like this - I kind of miss it. 👀
