Oh, I highly recommend you keep doing whatever is zinging your brain! That's the best way to have it, I think.

Mosaic crochet is incredible fun, and feeds 'the flow' really well.

As to the shorter hook? I design ALL my Tunisian patterns with a short hook. I can't stand using the long ones. :) 🧶

It's all part of my "Year of Using My Damned Yarn Stash And Not Immediately Buying More Yarn". 🧶

Admittedly, I need a catchier name for it.

Without a stitch dictionary handy to check if it has a name, I have no idea!

It's a combo of Tunisian Crochet and traditional crochet, though, in a two-row repeat that's quite easy to memorise.

I'm taking advantage of its lovely ribbed texture and making a squishy, cozy hat pattern out of it. 🧶

Same energy.
Massive respect for both. ❤️

I support the Women with Horsewhips and Bells party.

No, no. I meant the knitting.com guys. 😤

What's going on with KnitPro, though?
November 11, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Oh god. It's not the knitbros trying a new angle, is it?!

Both are on discount right now, and you can get them (and so many other crochet patterns) at yarntowers.com 🧶

If you're a Patreon supporter of mine, your Patreon discount code will work on them for an ever bigger discount. ❤️

One would hope that's the case, but I've seen quite a few 🧶knitting and crochet people I follow post and appear on the feed well after me, and when I scroll back, I'm not there at all.

I'm guessing I'm on a server that's a bit glitchy or something. It just feels so disheartening.

I don't seem to be showing up on the Craftiverse 🧶 feed at all, which is baffling.
Anyone else find themselves disappearing at all?

Oh, shoot! I forgot the darn 🧶

Guest judges, talking heads, local experts. It could have been fun. But they dropped the project. Not cheap enough to make, I reckon.

That's pretty much what I suggested.

Shift the format to a select group that gets to travel around Ireland to centres of creative excellence, learn about a crafting thing, then meet up weeks later 'in studio' with something designed in that style of thing for judging.

Also, ooof...
RSI. That was a problem they also knew nothing about. 🤷😂

That's what I had to explain, yeah.

I think their elevator pitch to each other was something like "GBBO meets Project Runway".

But like... sitting and knitting for hours and hours makes bad telly in that format.

I don't think they understood their target audience at all.

I'm so glad now that the whole venture fell through when they realised knitting and crochet takes TIME, and the techniques involved - which would be the interesting part - needed proper air time.
