To hell with "Republicans who are unhappy with trump." Why do we need to to coddle and protect these people? We don't need to welcome them, we don't need to be nice to them anymore. When Trump is gone, they will cozy right back up to the Next GOP Prez. Reminder: LP guys are happy Roe is gone.

They treated his administration as a hypothetical instead of something that already happened and was a colossal failure

It's still astounding to me that Trump wasn't really asked ANY questions about his Covid response during the 24 campaign. Trump never faces any performance questions really. It's always someone's else response or responsibility.

The only thing I think they "have" on them is that Trump supporters are violent crazy motherfuckers who will gladly kill anyone that Trump is displeased with.

I'm more optimistic, I remember the mood in online Dem Spaces was bad in 2005, and in 2017 and we bounced back. We can bounce back here. A big non ambigous victory would help. The all elections in NJ and Virginia will hopefully give us a bounce.

Trump being a New Yorker (A real estate guy at that) probably really contributes to NY fatigue. Cuomo and Eric Adams being such ghouls aint helped none either. Since 2020 especially, NY Politics has been a national problem.

I will not disagree with that. I think there are ways we can combat that more. It should be where some politicians can fight the evils in other states. Cal Dem can hammer Healthcare companies, Southern Dems can hammer Wall St, NY Dems vs Gun companies and so on.

Okay, I'm with you now. That makes sense. yes, I can get with that.

That surprises me to hear you say that, but okay, that's actually refreshing.

Every state party is "owned" by the biggest business in the state. I'm Virginia, I like our state party for the most part, but I know they suck up to military contractors. That's part of the deal. What state party ignores the big employer/business in their state?

My point I was making is, it doesn't matter WHO the Democratic leadership is, everyone hates it. They hated Daschle, they hated Reid, they hate Schumer and they'll hate the next person too.
Online, the ccurrent Dem Leader always sucks and the leader should actually be "someone else."

it doesn't seem like a stretch to me that someone like Ossoff or Kaine or Kelly could be Dem Leader. I think both Dem leaders being New Yorkers is more happenstance than a geographic power move.

Okay. Thanks, i appreciate the answer.

It's interesting that that we reflexively
hate the Democratic party in places where it has the most power. Like the NY and Cal Dems have a trifecta and numerous safe seats. That feels like it should be a strength and yet we hate them most of all.

I don't think anyone really knows the answer, because all the state parties are different kinds of messed up. It's like anyone liked the Democratic Party more when Harry Reid ran the Senate.

Okay, thank you.

The Makeup of South Dakota changed alot while Daschle was in his seat. While New York went in the opposite direction. Chuck Schumer won his seat from a 3-term Republican. I'm not seeing a connection there. It's not like Schumer has run unopposed.
