I hate it and always stop and question people when they describe a charitable act as being "very Christian". Like they have a monopoly on goodness and non-Christians can't do good things.

Translation "I may be a racist but I'm clever so I don't do racism out loud, I just whisper about Hitler in Jewish schoolboys' ears and make hissing gas sounds, just a bit of banter. Anyway I don't consider antisemitism to be racism and neither do my followers so who cares?"

I am 70 and vividly recall the grossly offensive series of anti-semitic jokes about gas chambers told to me in the school playground. I had to pretend to laugh because revealing I was Jewish would have prompted at best "oh we don't mean you" or a ramping up of the "jokes". These things haunt one.

I recall, being told a series of grossly offensive anti-semitic jokes about gas chambers in the school playground. I had to pretend to laugh because revealing I was Jewish would have prompted at best "oh we don't mean you" or a drilling down on the offensiveness. I suspect they all love Nigel today

I look forward to years of legal wrangling to determine what constitutes "a sandwich". I mean is a burger a sandwich? A hot dog? A bagel? Would a felafel wrap or a taco count or would they be deemed un-American terrorists?
