I love Fender guitars. Especially with an Antigua burst finish. Especially Telecasters.

I skeet about guitars and guitar stuff, like pedals and amps.
Man, three JV-2080s and then two XV-5080s also. I was gonna say I wonder what he’s doing with all that, but I guess I could listen to his music to find out.

I’m gonna get an E-mu Xtreme Lead-1 like him. There was just one on Reverb for $350 but someone bought it the day before I was going to and now the others available are about $100 more. Will probably bite the bullet anyway.

I’m glad you established your American bona fides, but you still mentioned tea which a real American does once every two to five years, so I’ll be observing you with suspicion.

The first time I watched it when my dad showed it to me when I was like 14, Van Morrison was my least favorite part. After a few watches I warmed up to the song and his performance. I don’t know much more of his stuff now than I did then, but I think it’s pretty great now.

Like I said, I hope you write your piece and maybe someday down the road someplace will pay you for it.

Against all odds, happy holidays to you, Maddy.

I saw you say to someone else you’d like to play the original System Shock, so if you can spare the cost from the donation I’d like you to buy it. Maybe it could add something to your piece. But it’s up to you.

You deserve to not have to struggle and I’d hire you if I had a gaming website.

Hey, I’m the guy who really loves your Rhodes piano version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. I haven’t played System Shock and I don’t know how much you normally get paid or have a place to publish it myself, but I just donated $100 through your site and I hope you’ll write your piece.

That must be a really cool feeling. Good that after all this time you still haven’t gotten jaded about your place in pop culture.

Because they deserved it.

Some of the stuff they say makes no sense from a musical perspective either. Talking about a speaker or headphones having fast attack or release speeds. All of them necessarily have to be faster than our rhythmic perception or else they couldn’t make frequencies in the kilohertz range at all!

I’m sure you know, but audiophile world is crazy. I never got into many Twitter fights with people who weren’t Nazis, but one of the very few was prominent Stereophile writer/Analog Planet owner Michael Fremer. Dude basically believes in magic and acts like everyone else is stupid for not.

I thought you were making a joke until i looked it up.

It’s been something to look forward to each Halloween for several years now.

So few places where people talk at length about video game music. Nice to see an article dedicated to it.

I know Metroid music is near and dear to you. What other games’ or series’ music are on that level for you?

‪My childhood Super Mario RPG ‬was bought used but I knew I’d experienced this before. It took me a second to realize, duh, emulation.

Odd coincidence. I just rewatched that episode for the first time in years like three days ago.

Only interested if she’s a virgin.

Same. He had offered me some in the bathroom and I said no. A while later I was outside and he made a hasty exit on his motorcycle. Went back in and learned he had tried to do it on the bar and got kicked out. His Vegas bomb tower was left behind, which I dutifully did not allow to go to waste.

Funky soundtrack by Hayato Matsuo, probably most famous for being one of the original trio composers for the first Ogre Battle, later becoming the main composer of Ogre Battle 64, and then even later writing the music for the Hellsing OVAs. A real pro, one of my favorite composers ever.

Does this mean you got to Jabu-Jabu’s belly?

Correct for it in what way?

No need for caveats, you did great!

YouTubers always worry about stuff like that, but I think most subscribers watch because, yes, we like the general topic, but even more important is the person. I don’t usually have an issue with what a friend talks to me about in person. Similarly, I’m not that critical of videos by someone I like.

I loved Goth Ms. Frizzle! I checked in not too long ago to see if I’d missed any posts. Alas.

No flash cart for you?

I’ve never played it, but it seems like it changes the life of everyone who does from how they talk about it.
