Not yet. I mean, I know I've sold some books and when I ask for the report then I'll get paid the royalties, but, somehow, I think the royalties for a short story I had published some years ago will beat it hands down!

Its a fast medium. Ironic jokes sometimes get missed. Even visual ones. I posted something about Bruce Lee the other day and nobody seems to have noticed the visual joke but, instead, have focused on the text and given me a 'straight' answer.

Same to you, Adam. Actually, I just finished reading Bop City Swing yesterday!

Could do better. See me after class. But, seriously, after editing a chapter or so, I often take a power nap. Editing can really take it out of you.

It sounds like you've already tried a few mags with the idea. I'd say don't give up, somebody is bound to bite at some point. I guess you're a fast reader if you're going to read all his novels and then rank them within a year.

When I was a kid, I was a plane spotter. There were also train spotters. And, don't ask me why, but bus spotters. Train spotting could be relatively inexpensive. Also, you might consider collecting train postcards?

Yes, but we are not self-published. At least we have a publishing house behind us. And, as you may know, there are some subscribers who get access to everything that is published, so you/we may have more readers than we actually think. I have no idea how many books I've sold!

It's on my to-be-bought list. Maybe Jan or Feb. I'll get there. I mean, you're one of my very first readers!

I went for the football in the end, but have a Bruce Lee film lined up (and have just recently watched one).

I did go for the match in the end (actually, there was no competition). Very exciting and some cracking goals. Three from ex-Man Utd/Man Utd players (my team).

Hope that doesn't mean it is curtains for the friend who didn't turn up to help!

Congrats! And no doubt well-deserved!

Oh, well, it's actually a very lengthy extract from Enten/Eller (Either/Or). I didn't realize that when I bought it otherwise I prob. would just have tried to track down Either/Or. I made a stab at it some years ago, but it had to go back to the library.
