I'm at my writing desk and hear a muffled scream. It's my 21 year-old son shouting from downstairs. I fly across the house, down the stairs, and bang on his bathroom door.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"
"What?"
"I HEARD SCREAMS!"

Had a read of Robert Bloch's classic "Psycho" from 1959. All the bones are there for Alfred Hitchcock's film. IMO: Anthony Perkins made a far superior Norman than the schluby character in the book. A rare case of the movie is better? 💙📚😱🎥 #horrorfiction #classichorror #horrorfan

Like your folk horror with heaps of dirty old hippies? Then Adam L. G. Nevill’s “The Reddening” has got you covered (in scarlet). I listened to an audio version with one minor quibble - it sounded like an American doing the narration. Not ideal for an English folk horror. 💙📚😱🖤👹
