I am so tired of reading the bizarre pseudoscientific hopium surrounding COP30. The latest is the fallacious reasoning that progress has been made because we’ve reduced likely heating to 2.4C (other estimates put it at 3C, heating is only accelerating, and tipping points looming) from 5C.

I’m a political philosopher in a film. Yeah, it’s a pretty obscure film. I work inside a building with gargoyles rather than some bleak 60s office tower. I’m haunted by knowledge only I have, cut to two creepy guys in suits waiting in a black trabant. The script may or may not be Kafka.

I don’t need hope. I need an end to lies, distortions, waffle and bs. From states at the COPs. From the mainstream climate movement. A world with information integrity and honesty might inspire hope.
