Happy Birthday Mel, my birthday is in late Feb so I have only managed to start a birthday in Antarctica once ( the day we left, after a months delay!).
Mel has had 6 birthdays in Antarctica! On both sides of the continent, but this is first time I have been able celebrate with her!

We visited Palmer 2 weeks ago, but it was very early Sunday morning (5am) and so we only met the base leader and the resident moss expert Dr Natasja van Gestel.
