It's enraging that after her absolutely disastrous tenure of the EHRC (even those who work there were reported as "desperate for regime change"!) she just gets a puff piece in The Times to air out her grievances and spout nonsense.

In this case, there is the context that the incumbent councillor Ross (who had also defected to the Broxtowe Alliance) sadly died. So I don't think it necessarily points to a broader electoral strategy.

If this horror comes to pass, I'll console myself with the eventual catharsis of him being one of the few sitting PMs to lose his seat. Ilford North is surely a lost cause at the next election for Labour.

Alternatively, he does the cowardly act of running away to a safer seat.
