He follows, keeping close to the serpents side as they navigate down the street.

“I…” he stops. Not expecting the serpent to relent to easily. He feels a pang of guilt overcome him.

“Uh, yeah… Thanks but I think I’ll manage…” he has a bad history of dealing with demons ranking higher than him. Whether it be his father, the Goeita, or even the sins.

He's tense. Not every demon would give him the time of day like this. Especially not a sinner. Something feels wrong here.
