F'n hilarious if they replace the guy we wanted that spurned us with the guy who won us a trophy & then we sacked.

He'd be brilliant there IMO. Great fit for a well run organization.

Agreed, but an attacking manager.

Kompany? Alonso?

They wouldn't come here, of course, but the idea was to continue the project if the board were going to sack Ange.

TF is a new rebuild manager. I don't think the injuries have stopped him from trying to play attacking football. It's just not him.
November 26, 2025 at 11:47 PM
No. The point is that we didn't replace Ange with a like minded, attacking manager to continue our project that was true to our DNA.
If we're looking for continuity (w/ Frank) with the next manager, then a Pulis type is what the board may be after.

Counterpoint

It would be Spurs doing what they should have done after Ange: sticking with the same style manager to continue the project.

Unfortunately, the new project is some kind of non-attacking dog feces, but maybe that's what the board think our DNA is now.

Would Frank also consider that a failed season?
November 26, 2025 at 8:50 PM
I'll leave Ange out:
Conte played better, more attacking football than Frank
Nuno was more effective/successful
Jose was more effective/successful & more enjoyable
Poch, well, come on
All 4 (& he who shall not be named) had higher win % than Frank despite TF's cake early fixture list.

I have always spoke my truth on Ange, he's my second favourite Spurs manager of all time and I'd take him back tomorrow if I could. I try to not let this consciously colour my opinion on Frank. However,I think when you sack a manager, the new manager should be expected to do better than the last one

Oh well, if Jeffries says so...
🙄

Why I'm so frustrated is I thought we learned this lesson after not backing Poch, then lurching to Jose, Nuno, Conte.
The talk was how we were returning to our DNA & committing to a project.
An excuse TEI & other pods gave for sacking Ange was the project would continue w/ a like manager.
TF=mistake

Hopefully the christo-fascists don't seize authoritarian power, but if they do when the inevitable christian infighting begins may I suggest Utah for one of the religious internment camps? Less shipping costs getting the mormons relocated. Obviously, there will be lots of camps across the South.

I wonder how he expects us to win second balls if we’re regularly 4v2 when the ball gets pumped up there.

It just seemed odd to be the main standout to take from that game. When you are pushed back into a back 6 with 2 defensive midfielders in front, the two advanced players not winning the ball isn't the issue. The issue is only having two advanced players and no plan to get good balls to them

If this & no trophies is the price we must pay to compete on four fronts while continuing the project of attacking football, but with a more flexible manager, then...
