I called Adobe while at work and was put on hold. Between breaks in the admittedly decent jazz hold music, a voice broke in saying, "You are on hold".
Not "thank you for holding" or "your call is important".
Just "you are on hold".

Once upon a time, snow was forecast and everything was canceled pre-emptively. It didn't snow. We made our own and proceeded to panic (as is required in NC). Today, it is actually snowing. Aaaaaahhhhhh!

Today is the 22nd anniversary of my last day of working full time for a paycheck... which means my eldest kid will be 22 tomorrow.
Also, I'd actually really like to have a job.
