Opening lines for my #YA #F #R

They’re at a New Salem party, heads knitted together like they belong. Her smile brims with delusional happiness; his a strained pinch making way for that dimple. I’ve never seen him more perfectly miserable. And after hours of checking my FYP just to glimpse a new photo of him, I make an indifferent sniff, heart their photo, and scroll on. I should be packing right now, not social stalking my spell-issued soulmate, but in typical Juniper Bailey fashion, I’m doing everything in my power to avoid reality tonight. That includes the purple duffle bag on the edge of my bed.
