Israel has seriously lost the plot now. Everybody wants them to come to an agreement with Syria and it’s not even in their own interests to do this likewise why the hell are they threatening to invade Lebanon? Do they actually have the manpower?
November 29, 2025 at 8:35 PM
No, I don’t think they’re screwed. It’s still cheaper to drive an electric car.
November 29, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Oh dear. All those people who said that Jeremy Corbyn was sabotaged by MSM. This appears to be all their own work.
November 29, 2025 at 8:22 PM
I was extremely wary of anything that involved Corbyn. I voted for him, as I was never going to vote for Johnson but I didn’t like the coterie of people he surrounded himself with.. Seamus Milne, Len McCluskey, Karie Murphy et al. And I think he started to believe his own hype unfortunately

so exacting in the treatment of lab that they don’t press anything. There are massive double standards in the way that a left-wing government is held to account as opposed to the nonsense that the conservatives got away with the last 14 years. Why be buddy buddy with a hostile press?
November 27, 2025 at 9:26 PM
How do we know that the spokesman was actually lying? If negotiations were still going on then nobody at that point could be sure of the outcome being any different from what they had originally decided. TBH the press, including The Guardian, has been so exact in the way they have treated lab 1.
November 27, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Seriously, you think they should’ve discussed it with journalists whilst they were still debating it amongst themselves?
November 27, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Yes, I agree. Unfortunately even the left wing press are afraid of being seen to give the government an easy ride so they get no slack from anybody. I’m not particularly thrilled with them, but I think they are being very unfairly treated by the press.
November 27, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Objectively The Guardian is a left-wing newspaper that doesn’t mean to say that it is necessarily pro Labour.
November 27, 2025 at 9:14 PM
No, I’m starting to be a little offended by the tone of both John and Lewis who have fallen for the gotcha school of journalism I’m afraid. Bring back Emily as soon as possible.
November 27, 2025 at 6:15 PM
It’s has actually, (and I know JessicaElgot is from The Guardian,) really only become a major issue with a Lab govt. It’s all part of the holding the Left to more exacting standards than the Right, isn’t it? Even left wing media are doing it.
November 27, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Yes, but people like your wife won’t get publicized. Will they because the Wright just wants to make out that everybody is worse. I’m glad she’s going to be better off.
November 27, 2025 at 2:15 PM
And we have just increased the minimum wage so if that puts them into paying tax, that’s because their wages increased.
November 27, 2025 at 2:12 PM
I’d be interested to know whether all the pitch rolling what’s the government or whether some of it wasn’t just journalists flying a kite. Of course we’ll never know because they’ll never own up.
November 27, 2025 at 2:10 PM
If we’re going to be fair, they were suspended because they voted against the govt s parliamentary programme, the one that they had just been elected on.
November 27, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Woo hoo it’s up!

There are plenty of reasons why children need welfare and it’s not just because the parents are irresponsible. Death of partner, breakdown of marriage, loss of employment.. Plus, regardless, it’s not the children’s fault, and they should at least have enough food to eat.
November 26, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Out of a population of 70 million, I’m not sure I think that’s a viable argument to oppose it.
