There are plenty of reasons why children need welfare and it’s not just because the parents are irresponsible. Death of partner, breakdown of marriage, loss of employment.. Plus, regardless, it’s not the children’s fault, and they should at least have enough food to eat.

Out of a population of 70 million, I’m not sure I think that’s a viable argument to oppose it.
