You can either mix brown and ultramarine blue to get black, or use Payne's grey mixed with alizarin and burnt sienna. 😀

Yes you're right about watercolour. It's very hard to correct any mistakes. Depends on the colours though. Some colours will 'lift' easier than others. I try to choose colours that I know I can correct.

I used masking fluid. It's not ideal as the line is often too thick and then needs adjusting.
