Feminists (both radfems/terfs, and queer/woke/mainstream) have long pushed (and continue pushing) the blank-slate hypothesis.

Not because of "evidence" of course, but because claiming otherwise would contradict some of the most fundamental and unquestionable dogmas of feminism.

These things, plus the very prevalent authoritarian attitudes in feminism (of all political colors), is why I just dropped the label/descriptor.

Like, when feminism and libertarianism contradict each other, I always side with the latter.
So why even call myself a feminist anymore.

And in addition to that, you have widely different factions that disagree on almost everything, and that point at each other dismissing the other as "no true Scotsman / not true feminism"

The only thing that they have in common is "things that at least some people claim are 'good for women'"

Namely, that men and women (however defined, either by wombynhood or by hormone levels) are exactly equal psychologically, and exactly equally skilled.

Except for the bad staff of course (an exception that feminism is willing to make)

No mainstream trans/queer org will scorn you for yet another iteration of "folx don't have to transition!"

You are the *uncontroversial mainstream that is safe to express and repeat verbatim*.

Also lmao you're not the heccin radical you think you are.

Your opinions _are_ the queer establishment.
They're the corporate HR department.
They're the respectable queer academia.

You're not putting transsexual interests first.

...and get *extremely* offended if you point out they are not like us.

>on a […] island. […] would your sex dysphoria go away? The […] answer from us binary transsexual people […] is […]“No, it wouldn't” This is because sex dysphoria is not caused by society

This.
Sadly our activism was taken over/coopted by cissexuals who think they have smth meaningful to say abt us

Corporations and politicians go even one more step beyond -- they say "LGBTQIA+" even when something is actually about trans people or trans women

im honestly so pissed about this. like yeah if you're a cis woman you also exist in the same world lmao, we get it. now stop fucking cussing us out for talking about how being violently forced through the wrong puberty is not the same as being tall and having a deeper head voice

tbh, kudos to her for acknowledging her proximity to cis-ness rather than going "let me tell you about transness, fellow trans"

The web's lesson isn't "we need better rules". It's "we need protocols that enforce their own properties".

Code is the enforcement mechanism.
Regulation is the capture mechanism.

Focusing on HRT access, DIY, and material conditions rather than validity and inclusivity is paramount imo, we need to make being trans *mean* something again

Trans activism needs a hard reset
November 25, 2025 at 11:26 PM
To mainstream trans advocates, tanking trans rights and acceptance is seen as preferable to making even a single person feel uncomfy
November 24, 2025 at 12:12 PM
Trans/queer activism has long been running on "wholesomeness and vibes", not with effectiveness in mind.

There's also a lot of frustration with the trans community's ineffectiveness at advocating for itself and leaving transsexuals/dysphorics behind but I guess finding ways to fashjacket transsexuals and dysphorics has been going on since the dawn of time
