Multiple people have now brought to my attention that there's already an AI-free fork of Calibre, called "clbre".

@geniodiabolico One can certainly avoid configuring it, sure. But that isn't good enough for me if my baseline is "I do not want any AI/LLM-related features in the programs I use on a daily basis AT ALL".

"Oh, but they're unobtrusive, you don't have to use the features if you don't want them" isn't good enough. My baseline is "I don't want that crap in programs I use AT ALL". Period. Full stop.

@Firesphere I dug a little further into the release notes and something AI-related came in with 8.11, too. It's in dictionary functionality if you want to try to define a word while you have an ebook up from your library.
