Plus it looks like it isn't going to a parliament vote, probably because they realize this won't hold up to scrutiny even from their own party (Also potentially from ACT too)

This is so fucked up. It wouldn't surprise me if the politicians involved back home haven't really read into this they just thought Transphobia lets do this.
