We got him from the RSPCA and they had him down as a British Short Hair. But he does look quite a bit like a Bengal.

They are! I've never seen any before so it was an amazing experience!

I just googled Japanese Christmas food and it says people traditionally eat a KFC, haha.

You aren't going to Berlin then this year? Ich liebe Dominosteine - I'll have to go and find a Lidl nearby and check if they have them. Or buy loads of Lebkuchenherzen from Aldi instead which are also sehr lecker..

Oh God, did you notice if they had any Dominosteine?? It's one of the few things I miss from Germany. They had them last year but they were sold out quickly. (I don't have a Lidl near me)

Oh I loved the Linnea books when I was a child. I still have the one where she goes to Paris and visits Monet's garden.

Yes, I've had SOO many arguments with mine about this. And then she sends me really expensive books about her latest obsession in supplements which I then have to bring to the charity shop and which noone will ever read because they are in German, haha.

Eugh. So many people in that generation are into fat shaming.. My mum's latest thing is to claim that people who have cancer/chronic illnesses are themselves to blame because they should have eaten a healthier diet and taken flaxseed oil like she does.
October 31, 2025 at 11:33 AM
Tbh my mum has been like this all my life. Every few months the whole family had to try out the latest fad, from drinking warm cider vinegar before meals to swishing olive oil in your mouth for 10 mins before breakfast. It's a shame that I'm still always ill regardless :D
October 31, 2025 at 8:01 AM
Sounds exactly like my mum. Apart from the fact that she has moved on from tumeric to flaxseed oil.

Thank you! I will try and make a (very big) curry with one of them soonish. Or just keep them as decoration :D

Arghhhh! I stayed in some off-grid place in Herefordshire a few years ago and was bored out of my mind by Day 2 though. But this would be different because I've wanted to go for so long. And there is something terribly romantic about small remote islands...

Oh je. Und gegen Schnarchen kann man nicht viel machen. Was für ein Alptraum!

Du Arme. Es gibt nichts Schlimmeres als schreckliche Nachbarn!
