Safe to say the book wasn’t what I’d expected! It’s brilliantly written (the silences/gaps in the narrative do a lot of talking) - it just left me feeling life is futile…

Yes. Most innovations will need finessing once they're actually out in the world, but it's just such high stakes with AI.

Ha. It happens so fast though. My youngest teen can't compute life without a smartphone. 'What am I supposed to do?' they ask if they don't have access to it for twenty minutes. Chilling. The generation of primary school kids who were forced online during Covid consider that the default. AI next.
