Confirming the nominations for head of CBER (overseeing 💉, gene therapy, and blood products) and Surgeon General with a researcher who has made a career of bashing other people’s studies while conducting no therapeutic trials of his own and a wellness grifter, respectively, is a fatal mistake.

The seemingly random slashing of funding for trials to CURE cancer, diabetes, and other rare and common diseases has an immediate body count. However, the loss of life due to failure to fund novel therapeutic trials is exponentially worse and dangerously unknown.

When studies are cancelled secondary to failure to comply with the administrations “priorities,” make no mistake, they can track each life that will be lost if a study is halted.

Let that sink in.

With every study closure we can directly measure the loss of life. This is ableism in its purest form
