Probably quite a few, given the popularity of image song releases? I know this also received a laser disc release, and someone mentioned Genesis Climber Mospedia had its own concert release video too.

Aha, me too! It's one of the things I like about Briareos's design in Appleseed.

There's a lot of heart and charm and plenty of authentic Gradius flare that'll make you smile if you're a fan of the games.

Thank you for giving me some insight into all these! Will add them to the list of things to see what I can find more out about in the coming days.

Here's one of the threads I did digging into AnimaniA magazine as part of my exploration of Continental Europe anime/manga mags.
A slice of German anime fandom life here with this issue from 1999 of AnimaniA, Germany's oldest anime/manga magazine.

One thing I immediately notice is that it seems to have two covers, back and front. The front cover is more fan service-y than the one at the back.

Let's see what we can find. 🧵

Yeah! I've dug into quite a few in the past on my main account, have some myself, and there are many scanned on Internet Archive. Fanzines are of huge importance to anime fandom, so I'm always keen to learn more.

German ones are likely under-represented, so scanning them would be appreciated.

It's associated in my head with Crunchyroll, so I likely first watched it on there too.

xD My reaction too.

Aha, it looks very similar so I can see why. Pretty sure it was inspired by Mania, but only lasted four issues.

Ahh, thank you for achving it!

Yeah, it's a decent show. The biggest draw for me is the boss battle-like ship showdowns and the bits of realistic space warfare tech and theory they include.
