Tried something a bit different for some personal practice. I animated this for Agora's Arcane #AnimChallenge
Spent about a week on the animation- all rigged and animated in #Blender 🔶
Was good fun- especially the bit where I got it submitted with 16 seconds to spare 🫠

This is Nellie, an elephant I rigged and animated for some VFX shots a few years ago. The real Nellie lives in Canada but the film was set in Belfast, so a body double was needed for a few (very) brief scenes that had to be shot locally.

Puffer fish rig demo 🐟
I used shape keys for the mouth and bloating effects. Fins and eyes had parent bones whose positions were controlled by a single 'bloat' property that allowed the same animation to work in both states.

Just deleted Twitter after nearly 14 years 😱 and went on a nostalgia trip through my old posts. I made this Charlie Chaplin Tramp character about a year into learning 3d (about 12 years ago). I was also studying silent comedy at the time and was obsessed with Chaplin in particular.
