Amen. Also, people struggling with addiction are one of the things I want my tax dollars as welfare to be used on. It’s not as if billionaires aren’t constantly strung out on cocaine / adderall.

When I had my surgery, my nurse was there for me at 6pm when I was vomiting and still there at 6am when I woke up. An angel. 😍

But on the other hand, I wouldn’t begrudge ADHDers who don’t feel that way & want treatment. That’s what miffed me about the conversation I had where all treatment was denounced as ableism: that view denies autistic autonomy. (But, as you guys point out,

This makes sense. Treatment is a personal choice made to improve one’s own life, anything imposed by others for their comfort is censorship / ableism. Personally, I’ve ADHD & while I’d like relief from some aspects, I wouldn’t change the way I am.
