Now, <name redacted> who ran the heating plants was a very good friend and one of the most upstanding men I've ever met - so I said I'm sure that wasn't true and that if the guy didn't get a job he probably just wasn't any good

Downstairs, around a woodstove were three older men slowly working their way from drunk to very drunk. I said I worked at the University in HVAC and one of piped up and said they'd tried to get a job at the heating plant but only Indians and women get hired there

Ugh, I keep finding things to say about this: if you're not up on your religious sociology, it's not that Dems have become less religious. It's that *America* has become less religious, and the party reflects that, while remaining white Christians have clustered in the GOP.
