Yessss macrina!!! There was also this place called Meekong Bar that we lived near and ohhh the pho and egg rolls. I had dreams for years about going back and looking for that spot. I think it's still there!

Yesssss! We live in a very, let's say monochrome area, so it's a bit of an uphill battle but something like that would have been amazing!

It was also super interesting to see how storefronts evolved beyond retail. There was car storage, a dance hall, a couple community organizations too.
But, those will be gone and some mega capitalist big box will take its place.

Yeah, our local mall has been like that too. Back during the pandemic, the old Sears became a vaccination site and I guess it was VERY surreal.
At one point, a small handful of mom and pop international food stalls opened in the food court which I would have LOVED more of.

Wow. There's a mall way up north of us that always, ALWAYS seemed like it was dying. It was in a very rural area, and it never had the same feel of a modern mall, just an odd collection of shops. But I'm pretty sure it'll outlast this one.

Our hometown mall is closing and getting torn down in a matter of days. I kinda want a last pizza from the food court 😭

I learned that, in the event I wanted to upgrade my car's motor, it would be very doable. Not that I'm in the market for such a thing, but it was a fun lil fact from the service department.
