The USA has a history full of mistakes, but these have been mistakes of hubris and, at times, of selfishness, but not this. Allying with enemies who are the opposite of all its principles and destroying centuries-old allies to make money from business deals.

I mean, we're talking about the USA, a country that prides itself on its democratic history and its fight for freedom and law and order, and which for that reason has been fighting Russian imperialism for decades.

Is there no one left with a backbone in the U.S.? The American administration must have many career officials who have been working there for decades and don't see themselves betraying the country through the gang of mobsters who govern it.

Now, this business of Witkoff teaching the Russians how to manipulate "their idiot president" surpasses anything I thought possible, and I'm incredulous that nobody in Congress, the Senate, the courts, or anywhere else in the U.S. is opening an investigation for treason against this guy.
