Bus walk Chelwood Gate The Red Lion to Horsted Keynes. Metro bus 270 both ways. Walk through Ashdown Forest in the high weald and then along a valley with a string of hammer ponds to Horsted Keynes. Fabulous in the sunshine and all free on a bus pass

Bus walk...by train. You can see the train cruising through the Ouse valley. And Blackthorn just coming out. Brighton to Southease station then walk over Downs via Norton and Bishopstone then onto art deco Bishopstone station

Bus walk. 12 or 14 Brighton & Hove buses to Telscombe Tye. The Downs here come almost to the sea. Snowdrops in Southease churchyard and tea in YHA cafe. Cross river Ouse. Over deserted bridleways to Denton in Newhaven and bus 12 back to Brighton.
