As we collectively brace for $1 trillion in health care cuts made in the Republicans’ Big, Bad Betrayal Bill passed this summer, 24 million people who buy Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace coverage will see their costs soar if Republicans allow enhanced tax credits to expire at the end of 2025.

Throughout history, presidents from both parties have taken decisive action to expand health care and save lives. Now, Trump and Republicans are dismantling that progress piece by piece—including with the upcoming funding bill.
