RIP Bob Stern, the funniest, cattiest architect I ever met. As I walked into his office the first thing he said was "you're a lot fatter than in the photo you sent us" 🤣 (to which I replied "and you're way smaller than in yours!" to much mutual laughter)

Im a firm believer in the power of decorative art in the city, especially when made with (robust) materials that have a tactile quality which engages the the eye & triggers the desire to touch. It can really enrich the experience of spaces which are otherwise somewhat depressing
