I read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich during his first term. Felt like reading newspaper more than a history book.
Shocking similarities.

A reasonable person could scoop up a lot of support face to face was my point.
November 27, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Face to face, most of Utah is reasonable. They vote Republican for a single issue, even MAGA. Rest of the time, they are centrists. They don’t like the direction Trump is going.

My libertarian brother dislikes Trump is sure he’s basically a Democrat on many issues(I don’t).
Tariffs were Dem, before.

The reaction to some to the fact Utah is 40% behind Dems always freaks them out. They want a single party state. Looking at the stats from 2024 shows there is a lot of resistance to MAGA. They are always shocked.

I wish she’d still be running now. Visiting Utahns, having townhalls. Gathering grassroots support now. If the MAGA GOP gets its way, signature route will be out and only delegates. She needs to show them Lee has done nothing but tweet. And if not her, some other centralist.

Not in the general sense of the word. The very specific meaning.

When you are losing spud farmers and sheep herders in SE Idaho cause you’ve gone too far…boy howdy..,you’ve really gone too far.

Might want to spend a lil vacation time in Utah. Or don’t. Either way you will be helping Dems all across the country. Better than cash.

Must not let the voice of the people get in the way of paid politicians.

Isn’t this kind of how we kept the economy afloat during the pandemic?

I’ve heard this from my own family. They would deprive everyone of this benefit, because someone might abuse it. Why not just address the abuse instead making the majority better.

This sounds like it might be the solution to the 40 year war on drugs.

One single out of a supermajority in the legislature (both houses), appointing all of the courts’ judges and justices and holding the governor’s mansion.

40% of the state voted for Harris, yet can’t have even a hint of another voice being heard.
November 26, 2025 at 8:27 PM
“We mustn’t allow the people influence or have a say in the state government” is not really a traditional American ideal.

The people had a say, the courts said the people have a say yet, still the persist.

They’d hate these same tactics if the Dems ever got into power.
