Glaswegian idiot
Scotland qualifying for the World Cup being treated as a bit of banter at the Sports Personality of the Year awards would radicalise you into becoming McGlashan from Absolutely. Couldn’t have been more patronising if they’d had The Krankies riding in on a giant Nessie.

Bad news for Starmer- union ally Christina Mcanea loses Unison General Secretary election. Replaced by Andrea Egan, who ran from the left, and has promised to review Unison's relationship with Labour.

It’s possible to be on the left, have an intense dislike of western foreign policy, but also realise that Russia is a threat. They have twice deployed chemical weapons on this island and invaded another European country.
What are you even talking about! I am saying it is a delusional fantasy to suggest Russia is going to invade European countries like Poland, Germany or indeed the UK, which is the insane drivel currently being promoted in support of a disastrous arms race.

That Bondi Beach shooting is just so utterly depraved. Will never get my head around people being able to act in that way towards fellow human beings.

Said about a year ago that whatever Reform is polling, stick another few percentage points and seats on it. I don’t think constituencies are out of the question. Perfect storm.

I’m not going for various reasons, but just slamming down a hammer is the wrong approach. Massachusetts, where two of our games are, is a Democratic stronghold. Kind of like people arguing to boycott coming to Scotland because the United Kingdom supports a genocide.

Grudgingly, you have to say that Jackie Baillie holding Dumbarton in that disaster of a poll for Labour is an unbelievably funny bit. She’d survive a direct Russian hit on Faslane.

Always interested to know what “trans ideology” actually means? From what I can gather, it’s simply a belief that people should be able to live their lives in peace as the people they are, without having to deal with reactionary dickheads? I could be wide of the mark, of course.
The false equivalence of trans ideology with the earlier gay rights movement lies at the heart of the problem, not least for gay people as well as women. I'm happy to see some sense returning to the debate, although yesterday's judgement and your comment shows there's still distance to travel.

By this metric, some harmless sod working in a warehouse is less welcome than some button-eyed grasping opportunist 'entrepreneur' who sets up a fake business to sell millions of quid's worth of shonky PPI to the NHS during a pandemic.

People aren't just defined by what they can do for you.

Let the pubs fling their doors open whenever they want for a few weeks during the World Cup. Bouncing down to Vicky Road at 2am would be sensational stuff.

Is Pam Duncan-Glancy resigning actually enough? If I were a member of a party in a similar position, I would be expecting the whip to be removed.

Rarely does banning or criminalising something stop young people from doing it. The novel approach would be sitting down with fan groups. Personally, I don’t like pyro but that’s because I’m not a twenty year old ultra. Need to find ways of talking to each other, rather than the headmaster approach.
The Scottish Government is asking the public for its views on whether existing legislation should be updated to crack down on pyrotechnics use and other forms of disorder at stadiums.

Client journalism of the most embarrassing order. Other parties, charities and various other organisations have been pushing this for many years before Sarwar and Labour decided it was politically expedient.

Would be as far from a Rachel Reeves fan as it’s possible to be, but Badenoch is just a properly horrible individual.

Not sure Rachel Reeves goading the SNP about flinging some pocket money Scotland’s way looks as good as she thinks it does.
