Hello Bluesky! Last week I was elected as NJ’s next US Senator! As a son of immigrants, a public school kid, I never could’ve imagined this. I will work hard to build a politics grounded in public service and serve with honor to deliver the future my kids, your kids/grandkids deserve. Follow here!
Jersey City is ready for a new era of politics. There’s so much excitement here to elect James Solomon and usher in a new generation of leadership defined by real public service. (1/2)

The core principle of our democracy is that people - the voters - get to choose their elected representatives. When the voters’ voices are weakened in an election, we should fix it. (1/3)

Applauding the courage of these public servants who refused to carry out Trump's corrupt prosecutions. Their devotion to our country and Constitution is inspiring, and this administration forcing them out of public service is a tragic loss of leadership.

Sixty former staffers describe an environment of suspicion and intimidation within the nation’s most powerful law enforcement agency.

I’m happy to endorse Tom Malinowski for Congress! I’ve known Tom for over 12 yrs, far longer than anyone else I know in Jersey politics, when we worked under President Obama. We both stepped up against Trump in 2018 by flipping the House. (1/2)

President Trump’s signature policy is to defy and weaken the Constitution by lawlessly hoarding power in the Executive. So yes, the Supreme Court and Congress should act as the checks and balances that our founding fathers envisioned.
Bessent on tariffs: "This is one of President Trump's signature policies, and traditionally the Supreme Court does not interfere with a president's signature policy."

Hillside is so special because of the people here. Those people deserve dedicated public servants who always choose to step up and fight for them. That’s exactly who Mayor Vertreese and the members of her ticket are, and it’s why I’m proud to support them in their Dec 2nd runoff.

New Jersey is hungry for a new generation of leadership, and James Solomon is stepping up. I had a great time today on the trail with James, and I can tell there’s a clear excitement to elect him and deliver an affordable Jersey City. Vote for James Solomon on Dec 2nd!

This AI video is disgusting and should be illegal. I’m going to push legislation to ban AI use to impersonate elected officials and candidates, especially in political ads.

Campaigns are won not just by the candidate, but by the team. This is Jef. He has knocked more doors than pretty much anyone I know. For Swifties, he calls it his “Redemption Tour.” Democracy persists because people like Jef.

Trump and congressional republicans voted to slam the door in the face of tens of millions of Americans who are desperate for help with catastrophic healthcare costs. (1/2)

I agree. Rep Chuy Garcia’s decision to end his re-election at the last second and plant his chief of staff as the only candidate to succeed him was undemocratic and should not be allowed. (1/2)

This is what happens when we don't step up for affordable healthcare. Prices were already set to rise, and with zero guarantee of passing ACA subsidies, half a million in New Jersey and tens of millions around the country face catastrophe. It's shameful.

The CFPB has returned nearly $20 billion to victims of credit scams, junk fees, and loan sharks. Their only purpose is to hold fraudsters accountable for financial harm done to everyday Americans. No wonder Trump wants to get rid of them.

My Korean parents still guilt me for not becoming a lawyer. I’ve never been happier that they aren’t on social media.

By the way I’m proud of this family. Can’t wait to print this out and tape to the door of my 8 and 10 yr old boys.

I was inspired to run for Congress watching Senator McCain cast his vote to block repeal of the ACA, saving healthcare for millions of Americans. Last night I stood at that very spot McCain did on the Senate floor but witnessed the complete opposite. What a disgrace.

We can learn a lot from our veterans. Their character of strength, selflessness, and integrity is a model for how all of us can lead lives of meaningful service to our communities and our country. Thank you to every veteran, and every veteran family, for your service and example.

This is why people have zero trust in politics. Because terrible self-serving things pass while healthcare for people doesn’t.

I’ve learned that a new generation of leaders doesn’t just come about on its own. I just hosted an amazing gathering of 100 young leaders who are ready to step up to run for office, run campaigns, and run for the people. (1/2)

Bonnie is a fighter. She was one of the first people who took me under her wing when I came to the House and showed me what it means to stand up for people who need a voice. What an extraordinary career in public service for NJ and the country. Thanks Bonnie!

Marriage equality remains protected in America. There’s a lot of chaos and backsliding out there, but the fights are worth it. We’ll keep showing up, organizing, and fighting until love and equality are protected everywhere, for everyone, forever.

I’ve never seen someone try as hard as Trump to not feed hungry people.

I spent a lot of time on the campaign trail going to parts of NJ where Democrats have struggled in the past, and I met extraordinary local candidates running to flip long-held Republican seats and bring a new generation of leadership to their communities. 🧵

We celebrated last night. Today let’s get back to work. Midterm elections begin now. Not only is the House in play, we can win the Senate too. Margins in NJ/VA were 7-10pts over performance to 2024. That margin would have won us 50 seats in the Senate. 5 lessons. THREAD
