Programmer, woodworker, husband, father.. theweirdonefromwa on TikTok.

I'm either an idiot or just not observant, perhaps both. I'm looking at my notifications on the web app side of this and it shows me a notification to a reply to a post. How do I get back to the post it was from?

What is up with Microsoft suddenly dropping support from Windows for a Dell mainstream printer that I’ve had for twelve years? And it’s not even like “oh we can’t find a driver to install” at install time. It’s “we can’t find a driver for a printer we printed to yesterday”. Microsoft.. do better.

I find this to be a really interesting graph. 2024 income and expenditure for US govt. The "Corporation Income Taxes" portion seems to be a bit on the small side. It would be cool to see an animation of this graphic with change over time for the last 80 years or so.

I like this article in the NYTimes about "good enough" vs greatness. It's a bit cerebral in parts but still worth a read: www.nytimes.com/2019/02/20/o...
Opinion | The Good-Enough Life (Published 2019)
The desire for greatness can be an obstacle to our own potential.

Hi I'm Andy and I've worked for a large software company for many a year. Currently wondering how we're going to safely generate a whole lot of electricity to power the AI infrastructure being built out around the world. We need that Mr. Fusion from "Back to the Future" and still waiting.
