A real privilege to be able to work with Indigenous and Quilombola communities, small farmers and MST, with local colleges and companies - all interested in agroforestry crop production and Atlantic Rainforest restoration

Great to be back in Bahia 🇧🇷 visiting some of the 40+ agroforestry projects and communities that we’ve helped mobilise with the €8M FASB initiative.

And puts a lot of people through the Powderhall development, without any engagement with residents there.
It’s doable, particularly if there was signage and a kerb ramp where the white car is.
But the subsequent path in St Mark’s park is unsurfaced and not really suitable for wheelchairs etc
November 15, 2025 at 3:40 PM
Hi- @spokes.org.uk - are you aware that St Mark's Path is going to be closed for at least 8 weeks from Monday ?
Newsletter mentions a pedestrian diversion but no cycle diversion.
This is first we've heard about any path closure.

The tree has some grafts and produces 3 types of chestnut - with different flavours and uses (eating raw vs roasting) some are very flat on one side and some more rounded.

Another year and another planning farce … trees not properly protected, soil compacted again …
October 31, 2025 at 7:44 AM
Stacking material like this shouldn’t be happening within the tree root protection zone - which very clearly hasn’t been demarcated

These are some of the most valuable trees in the city.

Whilst there is some limited mention of timber and forestry - the UK Government still isn’t joining the dots between the need to decarbonise our economy and the need for an expansion in short rotation forestry.

Edinburgh has committed to being climate neutral by 2030.

What is the point of commitments, climate strategies and city plans if @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social just ignores them ?
