In reply to a post suggesting Reform voters have lower levels of academic qualifications.

I'd love to know how confidently he hit the post button and then strutted off smugly thinking he'd owned yet another leftie!

Just saw someone say that "they don't believe surveys" and I'm not sure what he even thinks he's telling the world there?

I assume what he actually means is that he's unable to read and interpret statistics.

The lesson we need to learn from Trump's presidency, in the UK, is to make sure our checks and balances on power are robust, because I'm sure the US thought theirs were but they have clearly failed.

These days you can get arrested just for saying you're English.

Underneath a Daily Mirror video of Farage's constituents talking about Farage.

Literally zero comment by the Mirror involved.

Fuck's sake. How could you even interact with someone as terminally stupid as this reply?

There are people disillusioned with current political parties for not representing them, who are witnessing Reform welcome a string of self-serving Tories but still think they are the "different" from the rest.

How do you even try and get through to people so uninterested in facts or reason?

Badenoch had multiple opportunities to sack Jenrick on matters of principle.

By ducking that, she let him pull the Tory Party to ever more grotesque positions while building his profile.

And by sacking him now, she gives the impression that the only offence that matters is disloyalty to the party.
BREAKING Kemi Badenoch has sacked Robert Jenrick from the shadow cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership.

She says she was "presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect" to Reform

Sometimes being on social media with little interest in TV makes for the weirdest moments. I'm not sure WTF this programme is even about but it sounds like a wild ride 🤣

Just saw an ITV post on Facebook about last year being the hottest on record.

If you want to understand why humanity is doomed then the comments explain it nicely.

Denser than neutron stars.

Today I've given up with people so stupid they can't process the most basic nuance.

It's Sunday - I've got neither the time nor the crayons to explain things to them. Not even insulting them, just wishing them a good day and taking the dog for a walk and it feels better than wasting oxygen on them.

If a new app was produced which had, as its core features, the generation of sexual deep fake images of children and calls for a violent global far-right revolution, then not only would it be swiftly banned, but you wouldn't have a single mainstream politician willing to associate themselves with it

Very sad to see Times Radio apparently joining in with the Farage promotional campaign.

Can't wait for all their shows scratching their heads when Reform do disproportionately well at election time, but turn out to be charlatans, asking how it happened and how people were so stupid to be fooled.

Imagine going back to the 1980s and trying to explain the state of the right and left of our politics now, starting with the "left" being in favour of the EU (in large part due to free trade) and the "right" being against it (careering towards closed borders and protectionism)!

I just read someone post this about Jim Davidson.

"Went to see Jim live just before Christmas and he is still hilarious! He has no idea what the phrase "politically correct" means and is all the better for it!🤣"

And this was their profile picture.

I'm think I'm fucking done for 2026 already.

Not all Reform voters are racist but, it appears, all racists are Reform politicians!

It's so weird being not attached to a political party or any political theory right now.

Just sat here, looking left and right*, and thinking, 'we're so fucked'.

* To be clear - I'm not saying it's exactly balanced, one side (we're on BlueSky, you know the one I mean) has totally lost its mind.

Just taking a moment to think about the fact that whatever your opinion of Keir Starmer is, he's still the *best PM out of the last 6.

*Assuming you have at least a double figure IQ.

Trump - hey everyone, look at this, I'm suing another nation's national broadcaster. I'm also threatening war with a much smaller country.

Make sure you're paying 100% attention to these things.

Fact of the day: Friday is the deadline to release the Epstein files.

When I was a kid people mostly voted for the party that they, and they believed the majority of other people, were better off under.

There were some people who stepped outside the pattern, but generally for understandable reasons.

Reform voters just appear to be thicker than a Boxing Day turd.

Driven off Twitter by the binfire it has become and on the verge of the same on Facebook - hits my mental health seeing a world where so many people are disgusting excuses for humans, whatabouting, turning a blind eye or even cheering on racism around this 'turns our Farage might be a racist' shock!

I'm trialling being reasonable and balanced in conversations about politics, and watching the brains of people who have been dragged into cunt-like behaviour on social media (and we've nearly all done it at times) struggle to process we can still do things in a better way has been eye opening.

Reform voter: makes claim.

Me: you're objectively wrong, see BBC news link.

Reformer: BBC is fake.

Me: OK (obviously they're an idiot but I let it go) here's the same via The Sun.

Reformer:

Just saw this posted, in all seriousness.

You have to wonder how you combat the media's influence when people are prepared to buy their over-simplified nonsense so readily.

Explaining economics to this man would be like explaining quantum physics to a fish.
