Here's some of my own art...
Inside a ship, a pirate is caught in a desperate struggle with a giant octopus tentacle. The tentacle has wrapped itself around the pirate's neck. He is desperately trying to pry the tentacle off his neck with one hand, while his other hand reaches out towards a pistol lying on a barrel. The tentacle is breaking through a porthole, causing water to pour inside the interior of the ship. Elf archer woman shooting an arrow from her bow. In the background there is an autumnal forest. Saw Conclave today, thought it was a smart film that raises some interesting questions. Well directed and with some beautiful cinematography. It's the type of movie that I wish Hollywood made more of.

I recently watched "The third man" and it's great! I can see why it's considered a classic masterpiece. And for artists, there are a lot of beautiful shots for inspiration.

Dear artists, please take care of your health! I try to do exercises and streches every day to prevent repetitive strain injuries. Also, make sure to take regular breaks! If you don't know where to start, the book "Draw Stronger" by Kriota Willberg is useful (and funny).

I use a PS script to do this. It's called "RGB Begone" but it doesn't seem to be available for sale anymore. It basically "subtracts" a color from the image. I've attached one of their promo pics. Can you confirm that is what you needed?

Last year an utility building in my neighborhood was decorated with beautiful murals by the artist ORTAKU. Recently someone defaced them with red paint. It really hurts to see...this is why we can't have nice things. 😔

I'm reading the french comic book series "Le Sang des Porphyre" and I have to say that Joël Parnotte's art is amazing. I mean, just look at those colors.

And all through the book there's this strong reflected light coming from the ground that makes everything seem like it's glowing.

Remembering my visit to the Cinema and Miniature Museum in Lyon, France. These pics are of some of the miniatures we saw there. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is astounding. I highly recommend it.

If you see this and you submitted to IBA 12, quote with ONE work and tell us if you got in or not.

This one was rejected. I worked on it till the last minute and was happy with the rendering.

Anyway, maybe next year. Congratulations to all the artists who were chosen! So much amazing art!

"The holdovers" is my favorite film of the past year. I liked it so much I never wanter it to stop. I highly recommend it!

Also, it was shot on digital but I could have sworn it was celluloid. Perfectly recreated the 70s feeling.
