The lens of humanity is a prism whereby most opinions can be understood if you realize they are just different shades coming from the same source of light.

Russia belongs in Russia. Period.
Yikes! Definitely not what we look for when we ask for “a room with a view”.

Hope the need passes favourably.

And my suggestion for people is to become part of the good. Go out, do a good deed, help a friend, whatever. We all have it within ourselves to make this rock a better place. And yes, it is entirely doable.

There is indeed, but there has always been an ebb and flow to it, we are also more immediately aware of it due to digital spread of news and the focus media places on things that generate clicks.

It’s important to remember there is still an awful lot of good in the world too.

needed to be used in the short term, as we scale up these capacities to more long-term solutions.
December 13, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Yes and no. It sounds great on paper, but anything beyond a small scale switch would strain our electrical grids well beyond capacity, and expanding that grid will take time. We need to diversify the sources with things like solar to enable greater capacity. There will be times where natural gas is

I can understand reduced taxes for incomes at lower levels, it’s hard to get by on those low wages, and the services that group provide are a needed part of society. I’ve never understood incentivizing someone who would be making $600k+ after taxes. I would think $600k+ *is* the incentive! 🤷🏼‍♂️

I drove out to the cottage today, stopped at Petro Can on Deacons Corner to top up my EV before heading out. The wind was WICKED!!! - guessing ~70kph on top of the -21. Not fun 🥶

I wonder how that compares to if they offered home rebates for solar panels that can hook to the grid for homeowner credits?

It's not that the gov't has wasted monies, it's that gov'ts don't HAVE the monies because the people don't have the monies, because certain individuals have far more than they should, and they usually have the mechanisms to not pay the same % that the average public does.

Blame where its due!

I’m not buying it. Maryland during rush hour, and he expected traffic to MERGE to one lane? Yeah, good luck with that.
December 10, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Have seen that many times around my place as well. Despite 40 km/hr speed limit on my street, I’ve seen people regularly driving 60, and often 80-100+ kph.

I’m sure those drivers see it as fun/challenge/“because I can”, the reality however is they’re displaying their stupidity on their sleeves.

That truly is a poorly thought out plan.
December 9, 2025 at 3:05 AM
The problem isn’t just him, he’s now tracked it all through the White House. Even if America scrapes him off their shoes, until they clean the whole house it will still smell as bad.

Until America cleans up the type of media that manipulates the public, it will continue to drag the country down.

Love, and your time…are the two most precious gifts.

Where is Jake and Elwood when you need ‘em?

Loved both the Paddlewheel restaurant, and Eatons!! 😊

Doing well! Did a bit of Christmas shopping today, fought the throngs (not thongs!) and came out with a couple good finds.

Hoping to get out to the cottage in the next few days, but may leave it later in the week so I’m closer to the Geminids peak.

How’s life on your neck of the woods otherwise?
December 7, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Politics has become more about “how do I stay in power” and less about doing what is right.

The sad part is you can’t blame the politicians only, we hold an equal blame as they’re only using the tools we respond to. It will take a shift from the voting public to change that.

Love having these around at the cottage, they really keep the wood ticks down.
December 6, 2025 at 6:30 PM
I wonder for how many people, this will go over their heads?
