I am going straight to Alex when I next dream about an LP that doesn't exist. Probably Friday.

It’s a surprisingly lovely and moving documentary. I recommend it.

"Look, I don't want this to be a 'How to sell Christmas trees in New York' documentary, otherwise I'd have to set their Christmas trees on fire and then I'd be in jail. Nobody wants that."

This is why I'm stuck with Spotify. It took me over six months to help my 81-year-old father to link his phone to his car stereo using my Spotify account. The thought of going through all that again on a new platform is too much to bear.

I feel personally like the no-headphone-jack moment for older folks was a big jump-the-shark moment for tech in general, one where priorities stopped being about customer convenience or satisfaction

If you’re over the age of 60 (and I speak as someone who turned 59 last week) Bluetooth technology and Phone apps are a far more annoying and fiddly proposition than “plug in your headphones”. I’m not excusing it, it’s heinous, but I’m with Stevie.

HT @danmud.bsky.social who suggested a few belters and quite rightly says that Rog is basically a schlager Nick Cave.

I once had a dream that I went to an event at Abbey Road where a newly-unearthed Syd Barrett song was going to be played for the first time. The song was called Wigwam.

In Hookland there is a cinema that you can sometimes find that shows films from other dimensions - The Wizard of Oz with W.C. Fields, David Lynch’s Revenge of the Jedi - and a record shop of impossible discs. I reckon you would find it there.
