Life is too good to waste on bad ideas.
What are your thoughts on shower coffee?

Y/N? Good/bad/crazy?

Personally, I think a hot black coffee in a hot shower is one of life's joys. I'll really miss it after all this collapses.

It appears that the Trump regime has altered the transcript on the official White House YouTube page to omit the "piggy" when Trump slung the misogynistic slur at reporter. It reads "Quiet. Quiet [inaudible]." This is a lie.

Epstein and Steve Bannon chatting about campaign finance corruption and avoiding Mueller by pretending to be a church.
" should it have a christian component? tithe? if you form a church you may be able to tell mueller you have a confession privelege. :) "

Supreme Court denies the Christian Nationalist assault on marriage equality and tells Kim Davis (the Kentucky bigot) and her attorneys, the Christian Nationalist legal outfit Liberty Counsel, to pound sand.

Marriage equality is safe for now.

Which makes Trump's absurd Christian Nationalist proclamation that Columbus was an "American hero" that much more absurd, but also a pretty clear attempt to refocus on Christian Nationalist culture war BS.
October 13, 2025 at 2:26 PM
This is your annual reminder that Columbus never set foot on the mainland of North America. Never touched the soil of what is now the United States.

Columbus was an enslaver and a racist and a man who used his Christian faith to justify all manner of atrocities.

María Corina Machado, a Venezuelan politician, won the Nobel Peace prize. Trump lost to a Venezuelan woman. How do you think he's taking it?

Reminder that Trump's EO tells executive agencies to use the rebrand, not news agencies. The EO even admits it's not a real change and tells Hegseth to propose legislation for Congress to make the change.

Good question, Nate.

The report I helped spearhead and author is here: bjconline.org/jan6report/

The congressional select committee's report is here: www.govinfo.gov/collection/j...

Here's some public reporting on your specific question:

Why do Republicans tell such obvious lies to #MAGA voters?

Fear.

Politicians think Republican voters are afraid. And they want to keep them scared.

The Bunk/McNulty investigation in the kitchen is maybe the greatest scene in television history.

Shot, chaser, and explainer.
All absolutely disgusting.

Hearing a Catholic bishop like Robert Barron here talk about mentioning gender in a classroom as tantamount to the abuse of children is really something. Could've sworn there was something in the bible about getting your own house in order first....

Trump announced "America Prays" to commemorate 250years of American independence. But the Chaplain who gave America prayer its first prayer ... was a traitor.

He denounced Washington, independence, the army, and more. The full story is on One Nation, Indivisible.

Trump's Religious Liberty Commission is meeting. But it's not a government meeting—it's a Christian worship service in the Museum of the Bible.
Christian prayer. Christian professions of faith. And not a single non-Christian commissioner on the stage.

It's Christian Nationalism.

The working title for this episode was, "Anti-Vaxx is Anti-American." We cover Trump and RFK eviscerating the CDC and our ability to beat the next pandemic, but begin with George Washington crossing the Delaware—because vaccines saved American independence.

The Fifth Circuit struck down West Texas A&M's ban on drag shows as a violation of the First Amendment. The college president cited his Christianity to ban drag (as did James Ho, a crazy dissenting judge here).

This was my protest from Nov. 2023. I expected to get arrested, but didn't.

If you want a Supreme Court whip count on the threat to marriage equality, American Crusade (2022) has that too. The math is alarming.

I wrote an awful lot about Kim Davis—the Kentucky Bigot who's been married four times but wants everyone to adhere to her version of biblical marriage—in American Crusade. Christian Nationalism motivates both her and the group behind her. Here's a taste:

If you're just hearing about the fact that the Supreme Court poses a threat to marriage equality, I covered this on One Nation Indivisible last week.

(And have been talking about it for years. It's the Christian nationalism, y'all.)
