Elon would probably defend Adolf Eichmann for just "following orders". Eichmann defended himself in court by saying that he had never personally been violent towards a Jewish person. My point is that if you support Nazi violence than you are guilty of violence yourself

I def get the joke. Just incredible that people say these ignorant and/or straight up knowlingly false statements like these. It's like, anybody can go read the Gospels and immediately know this statement is the opposite of how Jesus lived and was ultimately executed by the Roman Empire

I sure hope not cause I've got tix to see their live show in Seattle this Spring!

So Jesus "consistently reverenced religious and civil authority." Tell me you've never read the Gospels with a single statement.

Bonds...what all working class people are concerned about

The maga administration, headed by Trump, is full of people who are rich and famous and powerful but have never worked a day in their lives (and if they did a day of work at some point when they were younger they swore they would never do that again)

I mean...if anybody gets hung it's gonna be the billionaires who ruin everything for all the rest of us

Yeah that makes sense. Also that stupid evangelical cliche that all sins are equal in the eyes of God (ridiculous). So breaking the sabbath to heal someone and murder would be equally sinful. (Then the logic breaks down even more because that woman would be insinuating that Jesus sinned)

What movie is this??
December 6, 2025 at 9:31 PM
You do have to wonder how a person could come to this level of lack of understanding of basic Scripture, current events, American history, logic, and ethics. It's despairing on all those levels

Netflix is utterly irrelevant to all people that actually love the movies
December 6, 2025 at 9:26 PM
good lord what is going on with these maga people?
December 6, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Her example of breaking the rules sometimes is WHEN JESUS HEALED SOMEONE ON THE SABBATH??? The comparison is when the US government murders people in the ocean in another country??? It takes a sick mind and a sick heart to come up with that kind of ridiculous reasoning

hmm...that does seem like a notable problem. Maybe we don't need these Waymo's at all?
December 6, 2025 at 9:16 PM
A movie that so many people would love if they had heard about it. So, so good

Wonderful. I just did a re-watch of the Criterion Blu Ray and it knocked me out completely. Better than ever.

Tim Heidecker recently covered that song in an On Cinema episode and it captures how obnoxious and threadbare that awful song is

Exactly…how long till this person is convicted and then immediately pardoned?

The right wing always with their Nietzschean attempts at creating the Ubermensch. At least Nietzsche was anti-racist. These fools sure have a misunderstanding of survival of the fittest - they forget that for nature to work we thrive on collaboration, not competition
